Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

PropAlert is operated by KHouse Holdings LLC ("we", "us", "our"), located in Hampstead, North Carolina. This Privacy Policy applies to the PropAlert web application at propalert.khousellc.com and the PropAlert iOS mobile application (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

• First name, last name, email address (provided at signup)
• Age confirmation (we confirm you are 18+; we do not store your birth date)
• Password (hashed; we never see or store your plaintext password)

Usage Data

• Properties you save to your watchlist and any notes you add
• Alert preferences (counties, signal types, notification method)
• Terms and privacy policy acceptance timestamps

Property Data

PropAlert aggregates publicly available government records including property owner names, addresses, assessed values, tax delinquency status, and court filings. This data comes from county ArcGIS services, tax office publications, Register of Deeds portals, and NC eCourts — all public record under North Carolina law. We do not collect this data from users; we aggregate it from government sources.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Service (display property data, manage your watchlist and alerts)
• To send you email notifications based on your alert preferences
• To authenticate your account and enforce subscription tiers
• To improve the Service (aggregate usage analytics; we do not sell individual data)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Service providers: Supabase (database hosting), Cloudflare (web hosting), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payment processing, when applicable), RevenueCat (iOS subscription management, when applicable). These providers process data solely to provide their services to us.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or court order.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Watchlist entries and alert configurations are deleted when you delete your account. Aggregated property data from public sources is retained indefinitely as it is public record.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view your account data in the Settings page.
• Correction: You can update your name and email in Settings.
• Deletion: You can delete your account at any time. This removes all personal data, watchlist entries, and alert configurations. Property data from public sources is not affected.
• Export: Pro+ subscribers can export their watchlist and filing data as CSV.

7. Children's Privacy

PropAlert is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, do not use the Service. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level database security. However, no system is perfectly secure. Use the Service at your own risk.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the version number and effective date at the top of this page, and may require re-acceptance through the Service.

This Privacy Policy applies to both the PropAlert web application and iOS mobile application. The same Supabase backend serves both platforms; your privacy protections are identical regardless of which platform you use.
